The Baby Earth Wear concept is wonderfully inspired by the combination of two divine gifts, children and charitable giving.  

The magic of our son Collyn's birth and the subsequent search for products to support our family's active lifestyle highlighted the need for clothing, shoes, and accessories that are whimsical, soft, cozy, comfortable, and environmentally friendly.  We are very fortunate to be able to provide a loving, safe, and fun-filled home to raise our son.  He has had the benefit of a stay-at-home mom, close extended family, and a culturally rich environment in which to develop and learn about the world.  

We continually remind ourselves of how fortunate we are, because there are far too many who do not have the resources to satisfy even the most basic human needs; nutritious food, clean water, or adequate medical care.

Throughout the years, we have volunteered with various organizations and agencies that support children and their families, as well as environmental causes.  We believe these three elements of life are intimately related, and that raising awareness on a global scale can contribute to diminishing some of life's most solvable social problems.  Baby Earth Wear allows us to give back on an even greater scale by donating a portion of BEW proceeds to children's charities, thus allowing us all to make a difference in the life of a child.  We believe that the joy of giving increases dramatically when it involves the welfare of a child.  If you've ever seen an expectant mother or a new-born in a homeless shelter, you understand.  It will break your heart.

We recognize that one organization cannot eliminate all the suffering in the world.  However, we consider our cause to be similar to that of the man on the beach throwing starfish back in the ocean.  A passerby asked why he was doing this, "certainly, with thousands of starfish on this beach, there's no way you can make a difference."  The man picked up another starfish and threw it back in the water and said, "It made a world of difference to that one."
